Gallery - Krasnodar - The renovated symbol of the city  The renovated symbol of the city On the 8th of September, 2006 there was a festive opening of the monument to the Empress Catherine the Second. During her reign Catherine the Great, who sympathized with Kosaks gave them her credentials for the land here, in Krasnodar region. Earlier Krasnodar had been named after Catherine the Great - Ecaterinodar, "the gift of Catherine". Памятник был построен казаками еще до революции. В годы советской власти был разрушен. Сейчас его восстановили в первозданном виде и на прежнем месте. А памятник Ленина, который стоял здесь, перенесли на пл. Ленина. |
